God has spoken to my heart a lot during my short two weeks of Language Acquisition classes at CIT. I want to be “as prepared as I can be" regarding Spanish and in my medical ministry. There are often times when I feel inadequate to do some of the things I will need to do as a nurse serving on the mission field in a third world country. There are also times where I feel inadequate in being able to put sentences together correctly to speak in Spanish. But through this learning process, the Lord has spoken to my heart and revealed many things. He will never call me to do something only I can do; He calls me to do only He can do. I don’t have to feel I am always “prepared” with my medical ministry or with my Spanish. I have to trust Him on a much deeper level than ever before. I need to leave my insecurities and weaknesses before Him at the foot of the cross so that the power of His Spirit can continue to work through me to do only what He can do...to reach the nations. Discipleship through language learning.
