Tonight, I had the opportunity to speak to the the middle and high school youth groups at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church. They are such a great group! The night was filled with laughter, fun, games, food, worship, and the Holy Spirit. The night was capped off with a bang, literally, as thunder claps, lightening, and torrential rain came down as we were leaving. Apparently, we were under a tornado watch and did not know it.
This was the first time I have spoken to a group of this size. I shared stories of my beloved who have impacted my life and my ministry in the Dominican Republic. I felt a little anxious before I took the stage, mostly because I do not like speaking in front of a large group of people. The Lord made His presence known to me, overwhelming me with His peace as I walked onto the stage to tell His story of how He is at work in the Dominican Republic.
Here are a few pictures of the night:
Thank you, Austin Bond, for taking pictures so I can have some to post on here!
My ministry table set-up. I received my new table cloth in the mail the day before, just in time!
Belin's youth band leading worship.
Apparently this game is called Ga-Ga ball. I have never seen anyone play it but it looked like a lot of fun.
